Improve Virtuemart Security

SecureVM is an extension that removes spammer / hacker targets from Virtuemart 1.1.4 / 1.1.5.

Important! - If Joomla! security recommendation are followed and Virtuemart is upto date your installation is secure. It is not being suggested here that that is not the case.

This extension has been developed after an extensive review of the server logs specifically monitoring for malicous requests. The results indicate that although the site being targeted (your site) is secure there can still be numerous hack requests targeting specific files wihtin Virtuemart.

The goal of SecureVM is remove these targets.

This extension installs a Virtuemart shipping module for UPS Rate quotes.

UPSCDN fetches both rates and time in transit quotes for all available UPS shipping options for the pickup and destination points. The quotes are presented in a table.

Features:

Handles Canadian postal codes
Rate and Time in Transit quotes specifc to shipment (no guessing which service to offer)
Quotes presentation will not break layout
Correctly calculates order weight
Products can have different units of measure (UOM)
Uses native PHP simple_xml function to parse XML

Virtuemart 1.1.4 or 1.1.5 must be installed.

You must have a UPS account, access code, user id and password.

This software is licensed under GNU/GPL version 3 (view license) and a subscription to one year of updates and support for a single site.

The subscription applies to the site registered during checkout and is non-transferable.
